Job summary

Vitaver & Associates, Inc. seeks a Medicaid DSH Program Analyst for a hybrid role in Pierre, SD. This temporary project involves assessing federal policy impacts on the Medicaid program, DSH payments, and possible state plan resubmissions.

Responsibilities include calculating DSH payments, collecting required provider data, and drafting the DSH payment schedule for the upcoming fiscal year, with onsite requirements in Pierre for a portion of the work.

Qualifications

• Experience with working with Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) rules, regulations and related issues (3+ years)
• Experience with working with Medicaid rules, regulations and related issues (3+ years)
• Experience with working with Medicaid Data

Responsibilities

• Assess recent court decisions and changes/clarifications of federal policy and the potential impact to the Client's Medicaid program.
• Assess appropriateness of resubmissions for State Plan as necessary.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to current administration of the Client's Medicaid DSH supplemental payments, including potential changes to the size and scope of the program.
• Assist with DSH program audits.
• Collect the necessary information and documents from qualified and eligible providers required to calculate DSH payments.
• Calculate DSH rates and payments.
• Draft a DSH Payment Schedule for the upcoming State Fiscal Year.

Work Setting: Hybrid, needs to be onsite in Pierre, SD for a small portion of the work.
