Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor II to lead installation, assembly, and maintenance of high-precision machinery including conveyors and gear-driven systems. You will read blueprints and guide technical teams to ensure alignment and proper assembly.

The role requires supervising up to 10 workers, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring safety compliance. Willingness to travel up to 100% and adapt to demanding schedules is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5–7 years of experience in mechanical installations.
• Must meet physical demands as described in the job posting.
• Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• OSHA 10 or above.
• Former/technical education required.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days as needed.
• Must read blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineer specifications and interpret technical manuals to determine procedures.
• Must be able to obtain mandatory local badging required by customer or location.

Responsibilities

• Supervises installation, assembly, dismantling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery.
• Supervises installation of belts, motors, gears, and alignment per blueprints.
• Oversees dismantling of machinery with hand tools.
• Oversees unloading and positioning of equipment using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Supervises rigging and hoisting to move equipment/materials.
• Supervises up to 10 workers.
• Supports inventory control and logging via digital application.
