Job summary

Protingent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Plant Systems) for a contract role focused on the design and integration of Balance of Plant systems in a power facility. The engineer will develop design requirements for BOS mechanical systems and provide oversight and technical support to design partners to ensure robust system designs.

The role requires collaboration with internal and external teams to resolve design challenges, plan work, and execute tasks that support project scope.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license desirable but not required.
• 5+ years of relevant full-time experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience in design and operation of balance of plant systems and nuclear/industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop BOS system designs and specifications.
• Provide technical oversight to design partners for BOS system designs.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to resolve design issues.
• Prepare and review engineering documents and calculations for projects.
