Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III for its Mission Critical Department, focused on hyperscale data centers. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere in the United States and collaborate with senior design staff to develop construction documents and project specifications.

You will lead mechanical design tasks, perform load calculations, review HVAC controls, and interact with clients, PMs, and the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of designing mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of codes, code analysis and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DDC controls and monitoring for HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of fire alarm / protection system devices.
• Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using Revit.
• Skilled in performing and analyzing load calculations.
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to work remotely with strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with client on technical issues.
• Review shop drawings and submittals.
• Review and respond to RFIs.
• Review and complete punch lists and project close out documents.
• Prepare project progress reports for stakeholders.
• Update and maintain shop drawing and RFI log.
• Manage personal hours using company tools.
