Job summary

Multi-discipline engineering firm in New England seeks a Mechanical Designer to lead HVAC and plumbing design on entire buildings, from concept through construction administration. This remote role covers federal, commercial, healthcare and education projects across New England.

You should have 5+ years in an A/E or MEP firm with strong Revit/Autodesk MEP skills and be comfortable coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design work in an A/E or MEP firm.
• Solid experience in HVAC or plumbing with the other being picked up post.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and Revit.

Responsibilities

• HVAC load calculations, equipment selection and system layout.
• Plumbing design covering domestic, sanitary, storm and specialty systems.
• Modelling and documentation in Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
• Energy and load modelling using industry standard tools.
• Specifications, schedules and drawing sets through each design stage.
• Direct coordination with the other engineering teams inside the same firm.
• Construction administration, submittal review and site queries through to closeout.
