Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Mechanical Application Engineer to support field operations from a remote location with travel to Safford, AZ. You’ll work with mining facilities, distributors, and sales teams to translate requirements into durable gear drive solutions.

Responsibilities include surveying gear drives, advising on repairs, and designing to meet customer specs while improving performance and reducing costs. Travel ~10-20% with growth toward Milwaukee area over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with application support in industrial products.
• Knowledge of industrial gearboxes, manufacturing processes, castings, and fabrications.
• Understanding of Engineering BOMs and drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to be productive in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to mine sites to survey gear drives in the field four days per week.
• Interact with reliability personnel on observations and concerns.
• Assist with product selection for site improvements and expansions.
• Review failures with distributors and repair shops and advise on repairs.
• Translate customer requirements to product designs for quotes and orders.
• Design products to meet customer requirements using basic design tools.
• Redesign products to support change requests and cost reductions.
• Review drawings and drive to meet deadlines for project success.
• Create test plans to validate design concepts and document conclusions.
