Job summary
Health Quality Innovators is seeking an experienced MDS Quality Improvement Consultant to help nursing homes strengthen quality measures, improve MDS accuracy, and support reimbursement success.
The ideal candidate has extensive MDS, RAC-CT and QAPI expertise, with a track record coaching clinical teams and driving performance improvements in post-acute care settings. This is a fully remote role focusing on the Southeast region and beyond.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with extensive nursing home experience.
- Deep expertise in MDS processes, RAC-CT, QM and QAPI.
- Experience coaching healthcare teams and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation on MDS processes and coding accuracy.
- Assist facilities in identifying quality measure opportunities and improvements.
- Coach clinical teams on MDS documentation and assessments.
- Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Perform root cause analyses related to QM performance.
- Educate facility leadership, MDS coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Interpret regulatory guidance and assist with implementation.
- Collaborate with HQI nursing home subject matter experts.
