Job summary

Cattail Nurse Consulting is seeking an MDS Consultant/Nurse Consultant to provide MDS coordination, interim remote coverage, and training for skilled nursing facilities and senior living clients. This full-time RN role emphasizes education, mock surveys, QA, and risk management, with on-site and remote support as needed.

You will build client relationships, review records, optimize coding and documentation, and lead training for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least five years of MDS experience.
• Current, active RN license and ability to maintain licensure appropriate to assigned work locations.
• RAC-CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim remote MDS coordination and on-site support as assigned.
• Coordinate the MDS assessment process with facility leadership and teams.
• Review resident records for accurate assessments and consistency with care needs.
• Identify concerns and communicate findings for timely resolution.
• Support documentation and MDS coding for accurate reimbursement.
• Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements.
• Maintain organized records of assignments and findings.
