Job summary

BCTG’s direct manufacturing client is seeking an IBM Maximo Functional Consultant / Analyst to guide the organization from current “as-is” processes to a future “to-be” state on a standalone Maximo platform. This is a business-facing role working remotely for up to 12 months+ with potential extension.

You will lead workshops, perform fit-gap analyses, and translate business needs into functional requirements for the Maximo team, helping with readiness, testing, and go-live stabilization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Maximo’s out-of-the-box capabilities and EAM best practices.
• Experience in manufacturing or plant maintenance environments.
• Proven experience with current-state/future-state process design and fit-gap analysis.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain Maximo capabilities to non-technical business users.
• Experience supporting business readiness, process change and adoption on Maximo implementations, upgrades or migrations.

Responsibilities

• Assess current-state maintenance, asset management, inventory and work management processes across manufacturing sites.
• Define future-state business processes that use standard Maximo capabilities and best practices.
• Run fit-gap analysis between business needs and Maximo functionality, and recommend standard vs justified changes.
• Lead business workshops and capability walkthroughs so stakeholders understand what Maximo can do.
• Advise the business on how to best use Maximo across Work Management, Assets/Locations, PM, Job Plans, Inventory, Purchasing and Calibration.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements and process documentation for the internal Maximo team.
• Act as the bridge between site maintenance, reliability, engineering, quality and operations teams and the internal Maximo team.
• Identify process changes and their impact on roles; support readiness and adoption ahead of go-live.
• Support development of process docs, work instructions and training content for users.
• Validate delivered functionality during testing and UAT, and support go-live and stabilization.
