Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School is seeking a Math Interventionist for grades 6-8 to deliver targeted, evidence-based instruction remotely from a home office. The role uses data from IXL and other assessments to identify needs and monitor progress in coordination with the Academic Services team.

The position focuses on foundational math skills such as number sense, place value, operations, and fractions, with collaboration across instructional teams and families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certificate required.
• Pennsylvania teaching certification covering Grades 6-8 required.
• Three or more years of successful teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with mathematics intervention, MTSS, and cyber learning preferred.
• Pennsylvania residency preferred.
• Ability to travel for state testing and school events.
• Ability to use personal electronic devices and email for required two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Review student information and data to identify intervention needs.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 mathematics interventions to Grades 6-8 via individual and small-group virtual instruction.
• Deliver evidence-based instruction that builds foundational skills and procedural fluency.
• Develop intervention goals, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Align intervention with grade-level standards and classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with grades 6-8 teams to support mathematics improvement efforts.
• Communicate with families about intervention goals and progress.
