Job summary

LeoLabs is seeking a Materials Planner to drive production material readiness for radar manufacturing and deployment schedules in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will own BOM scrubs, kit-readiness reporting, shortage visibility, and Material Movement coordination, partnering with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Engineering to translate project priorities into actionable material actions.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials planning, production planning, supply planning, or inventory planning.
• Experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing preferred.
• Strong experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs), including multi-level BOMs and subassemblies.
• Experience supporting production kitting, shortage management, and material readiness.
• Understanding of production schedules, BOM demand, and purchasing requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivots, and data validation.
• Strong analytical skills to combine data sources and identify material risks.
• Basic purchasing/procurement experience, including RFQs and expediting.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI, production ramp, and continuous improvement by establishing scalable BOM scrub and shortage-management processes.
• Develop and maintain Excel- and ERP-based planning reports and tools.
• Translate build schedules into material-readiness actions and communicate risks.
• Identify and resolve BOM discrepancies with Engineering.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with Purchasing and track ETAs.
• Coordinate Material Movement with Warehouse to ensure ready material.
• Categorize material requirements into action-ready statuses.
• Maintain visibility of shortages, quantities, owners, and recovery dates.
• Own material readiness for assigned builds and programs.
