Job summary

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions is seeking a Buyer to join the procurement team. You will plan and purchase raw materials to support cable assembly production, ensuring inventory is balanced with demand and cost constraints.

This role emphasizes PO management, supplier relations, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years in manufacturing purchasing, with Oracle ERP experience and strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years in purchasing, buyer, or materials planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Effective communication and negotiation with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy, follow-through, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt.
• Procure raw materials, MRO, and services at optimal cost and lead time.
• Monitor open orders and manage delivery schedules to prevent shortages.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to align material availability.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and ERP data integrity.
