Job summary

SRC, Inc. is seeking a Material Planner to plan, schedule and coordinate material procurement for raw materials, components and assemblies supporting program material plans. The role is remote with periodic visits to the Syracuse office and reports to the Supervisor for Material Planning.

You will monitor inventory, initiate requisitions, and work with multiple departments to maintain delivery schedules. Strong Excel and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in supply chain, manufacturing, or business.
• 2+ years of planning or related experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate procurement for raw materials, components, and assemblies.
• Prepare and present program status information to management.
• Monitor inventory to prevent shortages and support delivery schedules.
• Initiate purchase requisitions, quotes or material transfers as requirements change.
• Coordinate build plans and workflow to meet delivery parameters.
• Collaborate with departments to minimize schedule interruptions.
