Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Master Data Specialist to join the governance team and support material master data initiatives in preparation for a major ERP implementation. You will centralize and standardize data across plants, ensuring accurate BOMs and consistent part information, while working remotely with quality and operations stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with material master/inventory data in manufacturing or distribution.
• Proficient Excel with pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Familiar with ERP data structures and maintenance.
• Experience in data cleanup or migration for ERP deployments.

Responsibilities

• Support governance in centralizing and standardizing material master data for ERP readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality and other stakeholders to obtain BOM details.
• Review BOM information from multiple plants for completeness and consistency.
• Consolidate and reconcile material and inventory data across plants.
• Identify and resolve BOM/master data discrepancies through analysis and communication.
• Extract data from Excel and transform for ingestion by enterprise systems.
• Use advanced Excel functions to analyze, validate, and cleanse large datasets.
• Maintain accuracy by checking for duplicates and missing information.
• Clarify data definitions and naming conventions with plant and corporate teams.
• Document processes, data standards, and procedures for material master and BOM.
• Participate in ERP readiness meetings and data quality discussions.
