Job summary

Pink Camel is seeking a seasoned Managing Director to lead our microfinance operations across Africa. You will supervise national branches, set growth strategies and ensure financial performance and risk management.

The role requires multi-country coordination, strong leadership, and expertise in African lending regulations. English and French fluency is mandatory, and you will report to senior management on priorities and results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Managing Director or General Manager of a microfinance institution in Africa.
• Strong knowledge of African microfinance markets, lending and regulation.
• Proven experience in business development, financial management and team leadership.
• Ability to recruit and manage senior teams across multiple countries.
• Excellent strategic planning, communication and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English and French (mandatory).
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate teams across countries.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate microfinance operations across multiple African countries
• Develop and implement strategies for business growth, profitability and sustainability
• Recruit, appoint and supervise local Branch Directors in each country
• Set performance targets and monitor financial results and portfolio quality
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal policies and risk standards
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships and markets for expansion
• Establish reporting systems and accountability across all branches
• Report directly to senior management on performance and priorities
