Job summary

Pebl is hiring a Manager, Technical and Corporate Accounting to join the Controllership Team in a fully remote capacity. You will own key areas of monthly close, lead technical accounting analyses, and support audits while establishing scalable processes and internal controls across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 5+ years in technical accounting or related fields, deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, and strong collaboration skills across departments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• ,
• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, accounting advisory, corporate controllership, or complex financial reporting.
• Demonstrated broad U.S. GAAP expertise including revenue, leases, stock‑based compensation, capitalized software, assets and intangibles, impairment, and intercompany.
• Experience with equity accounting, capitalization tables, and equity rollforward.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems and close tools.
• Drafting audit-ready memorandums and working with external auditors.
• Hands-on with AI tools for accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial reporting preparation including statement of cash flows each month end and quarter end.
• ,
• Own equity and other compensation awards accounting; partner with Equity Administration to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Lead the resolution of technical accounting matters, ensuring conclusions are operationalized through memos, policies, journal entries, footnotes, and reconciliations.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for external auditors and tie-outs.
• Be the SME on U.S. GAAP technical matters including close processes.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting policies and memorandums for consistency across the company.
• Perform monthly flux/variance analysis for leadership.
• Monitor emerging standards and translate into policies and schedules.
• Apply AI tools to streamline workflows and accelerate the close.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Revenue, People, and Operations on initiatives.
