Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has a remote opening for a Manager Supply Chain Programs 2 - Category Management. Lead a geographically diverse team, applying aerospace procurement methods to meet cost objectives and ROI, while building strong supplier partnerships.

The role requires a Bachelor's with experience or a higher degree with relevant experience, two years in leadership, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance. Occasional travel applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master's with 3 years, or a high school diploma with 9 years of experience.
• Combined experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, and/or procurement.
• Must have FAR/DFARS experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach a geographically diverse and remote team to meet cost and affordability objectives.
• Apply standard Aerospace & Defense purchasing/procurement methodology to spend categories to achieve objectives and ROI.
• Support sector initiatives and special projects as required.
• Drive scope definition and implementation of strategies across multiple categories & programs including Raw Materials and Standard Hardware.
• Establish long-term pricing agreements, Right-to-Buy Agreements, vendor managed inventory (VMI), and negotiate favorable terms.
• Prepare and brief leadership category roadmaps with initiatives, risks, and supplier development plans.
• Monitor market dynamics and communicate changes affecting internal customer needs.
• Manage internal and external relationships and supplier partnerships.
