Job summary

UnitedHealth Group invites applications for a Manager, Provider Audit & Education. Reporting to the AVP, this role leads day-to-day operations for audit, education, compliance, and performance improvement, aimed at enhancing coding accuracy and regulatory compliance across assigned Optum Managed Performance Partnership clients.

You will travel 25-35% to client sites, and work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Professional coding certification (CPC, CCS, CRC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, coding, provider audit, compliance, or healthcare operations.
• 1+ years of supervisory, team lead, or management experience.
• Experience managing operational workflows, performance metrics, and client deliverables.
• Travel up to 35% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Provider Audit & Education operations to meet performance goals.
• Coach and develop teams across functions for operational excellence and engagement.
• Serve as primary client contact and build relationships to address operational needs.
• Lead discussions on performance, audit results, and education strategies.
