Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking a Manager to lead Provider Audit & Education operations for assigned MPP clients. You will oversee audit, education, compliance and performance initiatives, partner with client stakeholders, and drive quality and outcomes.

This remote role requires travel ~25-35% domestically, strong coding and reimbursement knowledge, and team leadership to develop staff and deliver results. You will provide reporting and ensure service excellence while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Professional coding certification (CPC, CCS, CRC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or equivalent).
• 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle, coding, provider audit, compliance, or operations.
• 1+ years in supervisory or management roles.
• Experience managing workflows, metrics, and client deliverables.
• Solid understanding of reimbursement, coding, compliance, and provider operations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build productive relationships with providers, clients, leaders, and partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Provider Audit & Education operations to meet performance, quality, and service goals.
• Coach and develop teams, partnering across functions for operational excellence.
• Act as primary client contact, building relationships and addressing needs.
• Lead client discussions on performance, education strategies, and issue resolution.
• Oversee programs to ensure quality, consistency, compliance, and alignment.
• Drive education initiatives to improve coding accuracy and documentation.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Deliver reporting and recommendations to support client outcomes.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and service delivery.
• Promote best practices and support cross-team operational excellence.
