Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Manager, Financial Operations in a fully remote U.S. role to lead payroll funding, settlement operations, and risk controls. You will manage a team, coordinate across ACH, wire, RTP, and real-time networks, and partner with Treasury, Accounting, and Product to improve processes and tooling.

The role demands 5+ years in financial operations with leadership experience, strong knowledge of NACHA rules, and a hands-on approach to dashboards and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial operations, treasury operations, payment operations, or payroll operations, including 2+ years leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of domestic payment networks (NACHA rules, ACH cycles, returns, wires, real-time), and payroll platforms.
• Experience with payroll services, PEOs, merchant processing, or embedded fintech platforms.
• Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workflows and meet SLAs.
• Understanding of ledger accounting, bank statement reconciliations, settlement timing, and controls.
• Experience with bank APIs, batch processing, or modern ledger systems.
• Proven capability to develop dashboards, monitor metrics, and investigate anomalies.
• Decisiveness under pressure (bank outages, funding issues, delays).
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and remote team development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Financial Operations Specialists handling payroll funding and payment processing.
• Oversee end-to-end settlements across ACH, wire, RTP, and FedNow networks.
• Ensure deadlines are met for timely payroll disbursements and reconciliations.
• Monitor fund flows, settlements, and clearing files to maintain accuracy.
• Handle exceptions, disputes, and fraud-prevention measures across workflows.
• Act as escalation point for funding failures, outages, and disruptions.
• Maintain SOX, SOC 1/SOC 2, NACHA alignment with controls and audit trails.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting, Product, and Engineering to automate workflows and improve STP rates.
