Octopus Energy Group is seeking an immediately available accountant to join for 2 or 3 days a week, remotely with occasional travel to our London office. You will own statutory and regulatory reporting, perform reconciliations, and help scope and deliver final audit requirements. ACCA/ACA or equivalent and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong financial reporting and reconciliations experience.
• Experience with VAT returns and statutory/regulatory reporting.

Aufgaben

• Monthly management reporting, including month-end workbooks and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation of year-end financial statements with group finance and tax teams.
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns.
• Manage the reasonable assurance engagement for the ECO scheme government grant.
• Lead wind-down of the business from a finance perspective and transition to dormant entity accounts.
