Job summary

SuperAnnotate AI, Inc is seeking a Malayalam Quality Assurance Lead for a remote, hourly contractor role. You will oversee quality across Malayalam AI training projects, review content, and provide precise feedback to trainers and QAs, ensuring adherence to project rubrics and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Malayalam, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near-native Malayalam proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong grasp of English to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Malayalam writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA or related workflows.
• Strong understanding of Malayalam grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate content against rubrics and identify issues like mistranslation or unnatural tone.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: Spot-check Malayalam items, identify quality issues, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Trainer and QA communication: Update trainers on Discord about guidelines and quality expectations.
• Question handling: Respond clearly to questions about Malayalam wording and context.
• Trainer/QA activation management: DM inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Documentation: Create Malayalam project documentation, style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Onboarding and training: Schedule and run onboarding/training calls explaining expectations and rubrics.
• Quality alignment: Ensure consistent Malayalam language guidelines across projects.
• Process improvement: Identify gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Malayalam projects.
