Job summary

The United States Fund for UNICEF is seeking a Philanthropy Officer to identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals for UNICEF USA's major donor program, managing a portfolio of 100–150 donors and prospects and securing five- and six-figure gifts.

Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, you will collaborate with internal teams, meet KPIs, travel domestically and occasionally internationally, and shape donor communications and proposals to advance multi-year giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years’ relevant work experience with a proven track record in securing gifts.
• Strong fundraising and donor relations capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databases; ability to manage multiple donors.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally; alignment with UNICEF USA mission.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals for the major donor program.
• Manage a portfolio of 100–150 donors and prospects; aim for five- and six-figure gifts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support events, stewardship, and communications.
• Develop strategies for top donors; draft letters, proposals, and reports; maintain donor records.
• Meet individual KPIs and travel domestically as needed.
