Job summary

Ensono is seeking a talented Mainframe Systems Programmer to plan, install, maintain, and optimize mainframe network environments in a predominantly remote US setting. You will troubleshoot, document issues, and collaborate with clients and leadership to ensure service levels and performance.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of mainframe networking, a Bachelor’s degree, and proven experience leading system programming projects. Strong communication and independent work ability are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ mainframe networking experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to prioritize and balance tasks, issues and concerns with self, team and clients.
• Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.
• Good communication skills are required; self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Configure interfaces to subsystems and manage IT mainframe Network systems.
• Plan, install, configure, tests, administers, maintains, updates, implements, tracks changes and/or provides corrective maintenance to mainframe Network-related software.
• Diagnose, resolve, and document mainframe Network-related problems.
• Adhere to ITIL, Change and Problem Management processes.
• Communicate with software suppliers, peers, clients and Leadership.
• Maintain system availability and performance in accordance with service agreements.
• Monitor and report on system performance, reliability and consistency.
• Increase efficiency through automation and/or template utilization.
• Keep informed of latest industry trends and technologies.
• Train Associates and Clients on upgrades and products.
• Assist Client applications with problem determination and problem solving.
