Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Mainframe Developer in Plano, TX, to lead critical mainframe initiatives and architect scalable data solutions. You will guide senior/junior engineers, set standards, and drive improvements in a high-transaction environment.

The role requires 5+ years in CICS/COBOL/DB2/VSAM/JCL, plus strong leadership and domain knowledge in financial services. Competitive pay with benefits; on-site Plano office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar subject.
• 5+ years of experience in information technology.
• Financial services experience, preferably in Brokerage Domain

Responsibilities

• Provide thought & technical leadership for the key initiatives.
• Developing and maintaining architecture solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.
• Setting, communicating, and reinforcing technical standards
• Providing leadership for junior and senior engineers alike, by understanding how to leverage and enhance their current skills
• Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.
• Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime
• Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience.
• Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production
