Job summary
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support core banking systems such as deposits, loans, customer/account management, GL and tax. You will design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications and batch jobs, working with Endevor, Xpediter and Easytrieve in a banking environment.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on mainframe development with COBOL, JCL, VSAM and batch processing.
- Strong experience in core banking apps such as deposits, loans, customer/account management, GL and tax.
- Familiarity with mainframe tools like Endevor, Xpediter and Easytrieve.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications for core banking operations.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into effective mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM and related tools.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support.
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers and stakeholders on enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, SIT/UAT support, and deployments.
