Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, and enhance core banking applications using COBOL, JCL, and VSAM. You will support batch processing and deployment across lending, deposits, and general ledger modules.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on Mainframe development with COBOL, JCL, VSAM and batch processing.
Strong Core Banking experience in Deposits, Loans, GL, Tax.
Experience with Endevor, Xpediter, Easytrieve; knowledge of CICS/IMS preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications supporting core banking operations.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into mainframe solutions.
Develop and support batch processing jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.
Perform code debugging, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders to implement system enhancements.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and deployment activities.
