Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator to manage and modernize Model 204 (M204) databases on IBM z/OS, in a fully remote US-based capacity. You will architect, configure, and document database definitions to support long-term business operations.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, security, capacity planning, project coordination, and backing up critical data to ensure reliability and availability for global clients.

Qualifications

• Responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery support of Model 204 (M204) databases in IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
• Supports database design, capacity planning, change management, problem resolution, and production operations while ensuring database availability, integrity, and performance.
• Collaborates with application, infrastructure, and security teams to implement database enhancements, manage access controls, and support mission-critical business applications.
