Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a skilled database administrator to manage Model 204 (M204) on IBM z/OS. You will optimize performance, implement security controls, and coordinate backup/recovery strategies across enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability and integrity of mission-critical data, while planning capacity and driving database enhancements for scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery support of Model 204 (M204) databases in IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
• Supports database design, capacity planning, change management, problem resolution, and production operations while ensuring database availability, integrity, and performance.
• Collaborates with application, infrastructure, and security teams to implement database enhancements, manage access controls, and support mission-critical business applications.
• Experience with M204 utilities and tools such as FAST/REORG, SOFTSPY, SIRSCAN, Horizon, MQ/204.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize database systems to run at peak performance.

• Plan capacity and coordinate database project plans with teams to align with goals.
