Qualifications

• Proficiency in mainframe cobol programming language.
• Strong working knowledge of db2 for database design, development, and administration.
• Experience with vsam datasets management for storing and retrieving data on mainframes.
• Familiarity with jcl (job control language) scripting for batch processing.
• Hands-on expertise in mainframe cics (customer information control system).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance cobol programs and applications on mainframes.
• Perform database design, development, and optimization using db2 on the mainframe platform.
• Manage and administer vsam datasets to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
• Create, modify, and debug jcl job control language for batch processing on mainframes.
• Provide support for mainframe cics transactions and applications.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Implement best practices for mainframe software development and maintenance.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for mainframe resources.
