Job summary

1Password LLC is seeking a software engineer to join the Machine Identity team on a remote, four-month contract (Jan–Apr 2027) for US/Canada residents. You will code, test, and ship production features, plan tasks, write tests, and review code to maintain quality in distributed systems.

We value curiosity, humility, teamwork, and a bias for action. Experience with Go, Node.js, Python, or Ruby is a plus, as is understanding OAuth/OIDC and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more modern backend languages (Go, Node.js, Ruby, Python).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to plan tasks and work in a distributed environment on focused timelines.

Responsibilities

• Code, test, debug, deliver and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features.
• Participate in planning by identifying tasks, decomposing work, estimating and planning.
• Write comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Review code to maintain high quality and share knowledge within the team.
• Generate and review documentation to support scalability.
