Job summary

Harris is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to proactively research, engage and develop potential acquisition targets for a high-velocity M&A organization, learning from the acquisition culture of Constellation Software.

Location: Preference for Toronto, but open to remote candidates within Canada or the United States. This role emphasizes lead generation, outbound outreach, relationship management, CRM discipline, and coordination of diligence to deliver acquisitions.

Qualifications

• M&A experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience discussing M&A process, valuations, and exits.
• Excellent relationship-building and listening skills.
• Strong networking and outreach capabilities.
• Curiosity and analytical thinking applied to deal sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation and pipeline development for sourcing software targets.
• Outbound outreach to establish relationships with business owners and senior leaders.
• Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
• Manage CRM pipeline, track deal stages and forecast health.
• Coordinate due diligence and information flow for site visits.
• Enable transactions from outreach through closings.
