Job summary

Harbour Outdoor is seeking an External Trade Sales Representative to expand our luxury trade business within an assigned territory. This is an in‑house, field‑based role dedicated to Harbour and not a showroom or other lines.

Focus is on developing new business, building relationships in the design community, and driving territory growth. The position requires travel, in‑person engagement, and attendance at High Point Market.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside, territory, trade, or business‑development sales experience.
• Experience within luxury furnishings, interiors, architectural products, building products, or another design‑driven industry preferred. Existing relationships within the A&D and luxury trade community are highly valued.
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and follow‑through skills. Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
• Polished, professional presence with an appreciation for luxury design and service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, landscape architects, and other luxury trade professionals.
• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, presentations, and regular field activity.
• Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and lunch‑and‑learns.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and track opportunities and client activity in CRM.
• Build strong knowledge of Harbour collections, materials, finishes, and capabilities.
• Participate in weekly sales calls and team meetings to review pipeline, activity, opportunities, and priorities.
• Attendance at High Point Market each spring and fall is an essential part of the role.
• Frequent travel throughout the year is expected, with an emphasis on consistent in‑person engagement and relationship‑building within the design community and key accounts.
