Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an Area Director of Leisure Sales for Alila Ventana Big Sur & Alila Napa Valley. You will lead a leisure sales team and drive revenue across luxury resorts through strategic planning, high-level stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with regional teams and influencers in transient markets.

This role is remote with travel to resorts, requiring up to 25% travel, ideally based in California.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales or business development experience in transient/leisure luxury hospitality.
• Experience with high-end travel agency networks (Virtuoso, FHR, Signature, etc.).
• Experience in a regional, multi-property, or hybrid sales leadership role.
• Strong understanding of group and leisure market dynamics.
• Proficiency in sales analytics tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide unified but customized sales leadership for assignment markets and hotels.
• Guide resorts through cohesive transient business development strategy.
• Contribute to data-informed strategic revenue plans with DOSMs.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with agency owners/managers and luxury networks.
• Grow revenue by evaluating market demand and opening new channels through partnerships.
• Champion the Hyatt Alila brand at industry events and with luxury buyers.
• Coordinate between on-property sales, Hyatt Sales Force, and corporate stakeholders.
