Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a LTD Claims Consultant for a remote role in the United States. You will provide technical support to claim teams, review authorizations, and act as SME on complex issues to improve claim delivery.

You will drive improvements in initial claim decisions, manage CID turnaround times, and collaborate across lines of business to implement best practices; travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven training skills on an individual and team basis.
• Ability to mentor/coach staff and peers to ensure proper claim adjudication.
• Extensive knowledge of Group Long Term disability products, administration and claims procedures.
• Strong knowledge of PC Applications (including Microsoft Office, databases, imaging systems, etc.).
• 3+ years LTD claims handling experience, prior DI experience or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Support to Claim Teams including Claim Auth reviews, serve as SME on complex issues.
• Drive improvements in initial claim decision, Claim Management Accuracy and & CID turnaround times.
• Leverage automation and/or alternate sourcing options to handle additional tasks.
• Collaborate with all lines of business to promote best practices to improve efficiency.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support timely and effective delivery of Workstream Initiatives.
