Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist, Foreclosure to support foreclosure referrals and borrower retention. The role analyzes files for CFPB and investor compliance, drafts regulatory letters, and coordinates document collection for virtual foreclosure files.

Strong regulatory knowledge and communication skills are essential. The position is remote, non-exempt, with a targeted hourly salary range, and requires experience in mortgage servicing and loss mitigation to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years back-office mortgage servicing experience required.
• 2+ years loss mitigation focusing on home retention for FHA/VA loans.
• Knowledge of mortgage documents, CFPB, FCRA, FDCPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide foreclosure recommendation filings based on delinquent loan reports.
• Audit foreclosure files for CFPB, state and investor compliance.
• Prepare and mail regulatory letters and update system data.
• Request and manage original documents for foreclosure referral files.
• Follow up to ensure timely foreclosure referral decisions.
• Communicate options and updates to managers, teammates and borrowers.
• Maintain regular borrower communications via phone, email, and mail.
• Provide accurate call notes and documentation for customer files.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality, timely resolutions.
• Assist audits and compile pre- and post-findings for investors.
• Participate in process-improvement projects for foreclosure referrals.
• Stay current on industry regulations and update policies accordingly.
