Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Draft Specialist to work remotely from home. You will process loss drafts, inspect, and review claim documents while ensuring compliance with insurance and company policies.

The role requires 2+ years in insurance or mortgage servicing, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Target pay ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing or related field.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and claims practices.
• General knowledge of insurance theory, practices, and contracts.
• Familiarity with property estimating systems and claims documentation procedures.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate routine information clearly.
• Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform loss draft and property damage requirements including processing checks, documents, inspections, and reviewing queue.
• Review adjuster worksheets for depreciation and determine actions on repairs.
• Review and evaluate claim packages and order inspections to determine draw eligibility.
• Assess claim classification to reduce risk or loss.
• Comply with company policies, statutes, regulations and claims handling rules.
• Initiate fraud processes to protect client interests when necessary.
• Monitor quality of service from appraisers, contractors, inspectors, and loss draft staff.
• Work efficiently in client and company proprietary applications.
• Respond to written and verbal customer requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly.
• Provide assistance to meet client requirements and SLAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
