Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. (RRI) seeks an Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial insurance inspections and create underwriting reports. You will photograph and observe facilities, note operations, and document findings online for underwriting.

Responsibilities include site observations, measurements, reporting, and coordinating with insureds. Travel to locations is required, with potential overnight trips within the territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Loss Control Providers or major insurers.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines – Property, General Liability, Inland Marine.
• Identify building construction and ISO classes.
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional writing ability, organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet and mobile phone.
• Have a car and valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Able to climb a ladder up to 6 feet.
• Digital camera or smartphone for photos.
• Measuring wheel or similar tool and camera pole.

Responsibilities

• Record onsite observations, measurements and photos per carrier requirements.
• Identify building and roof construction type and square footage.
• Complete assignments and reports by due dates.
• Communicate with Field Manager to optimize inspections.
• Coordinate inspection meetings with insured on site.
• Prepare and upload inspection results, diagrams and photos.
• Travel to insured locations; some overnight travel may be required.
