Job summary

Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services in Springfield seeks a Long Term Care Reimbursement Analyst to analyze and implement policies for the statewide program, directing reviews, projections and costs of long term care services for Medicaid.

The ideal candidate has a strong data analytics background, understands complex reimbursement structures, and is committed to delivering quality services on behalf of the State of Illinois.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
• Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
• Three years of experience with Statistical Software Suite, Structured Query Language, Bi Query, Excel or similar software.
• Two years of experience with Medicaid reimbursement.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with and analyzing large data sets to develop policies and inform decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and manage the Statewide Long-Term Care Reimbursement Program.
• Serve as liaison to agency staff on the maintenance of the Long-Term Care Reimbursement Program.
• Develop databases for Long-Term Care reimbursement.
• Research and evaluate issues relative to reimbursement.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of duties enumerated.
