Job summary

Center Street Lending is hiring a Loan Processor to support the Production team in Irvine, CA with onsite and remote options. You’ll handle loan funding tasks, communicate with underwriters and partners, review documents, and maintain an active pipeline of 25+ loans monthly.

A minimum 3 years’ loan processing experience and mortgage knowledge are required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. The role offers hourly compensation of $33.65–$36.06 plus a per-file closure bonus, full-time benefits including

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in a loan processor role.
• At least 3 years’ experience in loan processing.
• Knowledge of mortgage terms, compliance disclosures, and standard credit documentation
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented; Proficiency with Encompass (preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Support the Production team by applying loan funding process skills.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with Underwriters, sales partners, and external customers.
• Manage internal and external communication throughout the loan process and funding.
• Order third party vendor reports per policies, procedures, and lending guidelines.
• Review and analyze loan documents ensuring adherence to policies and product guidelines.
• Submit quality processed file to underwrite for initial review and/or clear to close decisions.
• Follow up on any outstanding loan conditions after initial underwriting decision.
• Take initiative with a clear business mind providing problem-solving solutions with a collaborative approach.
• Escalate loan exceptions to management or Credit Committee for review and final decision.
• Maintain an accurate active pipeline with knowledge of loan details.
• Deliver loan documents to escrow/closing agent for signing.
• Review executed loan documents prior to Pre-Fund QC review.
• Ensure funding conditions have been met.
• Maintain an average pipeline of 25+ loans & funds 20+ loans per month.
