Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Processor to support our client’s fast-paced lending team. This role plays a critical part in preparing and managing loan files, collecting borrower documentation, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring all loan packages are complete, accurate, and compliant before closing.

Ideal candidates will have a background in real estate loan processing, mortgage administration, or commercial lending operations, and thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, review, and organize all borrower and property documentation (credit reports, title, income/assets, appraisals, construction budgets, etc.)
• Ensure all necessary verifications (income, employment, assets, insurance, etc.) are complete and accurate
• Maintain clear communication with borrowers, sales, underwriters, and legal teams throughout the loan process
• Track loan progress and proactively manage pipeline to meet closing deadlines
• Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third parties to complete due diligence
• Prepare complete loan files for underwriting and closing review
• Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic loan records

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in loan processing, mortgage operations, or real estate finance
• Strong understanding of real estate documentation and transaction flow
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with loan origination systems is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple loan files and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Location: McLean, Virginia - Hybrid (3-days on, 2-days remote)
