A mission-driven, nonprofit community developer and affordable home builder is seeking a highly motivated Loan Processor. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Lending, the Loan Processor will be responsible for the timely processing of real estate loans.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, track, and maintain all loans in process, including portfolio, wholesale, and retail loans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communications and interactions with loan clients.
- Review and submit loans to financial partners as required and in alignment with departmental goals.
- Maintain accurate loan transaction and servicing records and meet deadlines for reports and related processing tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of fair lending, equal opportunity, federal Truth in Lending laws, affordable loan programs, and Privacy Act implications.
- Working knowledge of lending industry regulations and standards, including policies and procedures governing loan processing, servicing, collections, and compliance.
- Proficiency with applicable loan-tracking software and industry-related databases, including accurate data entry and report retrieval.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to monitor detailed loan transactions and servicing records accurately and on time.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients, and lending partners.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience as a loan processor.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience.
- Background in real estate is helpful.
- Real Estate License is a plus.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
