Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Remote Technical Specialist to coordinate live sports and entertainment operations. The role requires sustaining communication between remote and on-site teams and maintaining a continuous technical monitoring station during broadcasts.

You will lead technical planning, document event details, and resolve issues under pressure while supporting studio and remote operations engineering to ensure smooth set ups and air. Willingness to travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of network-level broadcast production experience.
• Experience in live game/remote/studio productions.
• Proficient in planning and documentation for live productions.
• Experience monitoring video and audio signals for live events.
• Familiarity with Remote Operations and Production Control Room.
• Ability to lead technical meetings and work independently.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate the technical details of all MFP productions.
• Resolve potential production issues and resource conflicts in advance.
• Monitor and manage incoming/outgoing video for all live MFP productions.
• Participate in pre- and post-show technical meetings as necessary.
• Prepare and distribute documentation of event details to stakeholders.
• Assist with MFP production setup and ensure production plans are followed.
• QC video and audio signals for air.
• Ensure routing is configured and properly directed.
• Liaise between site and PCR operations for audio/video.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to appropriate teams.
• Work with onsite operators to fax off-site equipment.
• Manage VLANs to production equipment.
• Provide timely communication of technical issues impacting live productions.
• Collaborate with Studio/Remote Tech Ops and Live Production Engineering.
