Job summary

O'Flaherty Law seeks an Attorney (3+ years experience) to handle criminal defense, family law, and/or civil litigation matters in Iowa. The role is primarily remote with in-person court appearances in Des Moines and nearby courts as needed.

You’ll work in a flexible, remote-friendly environment with local courtroom practice, strong mentorship, and full support staff to focus on practicing law. Iowa licensure or pending admission is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in relevant practice areas.
• Licensed to practice law in Iowa (or pending admission)
• Ability to manage cases with support and increasing independence
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Handle caseload in criminal defense, family law, and/or civil litigation.
• Attend court locally as required
• Manage cases with administrative and legal support
