Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Litigation Associate for a boutique litigation firm with East Coast offices. You will manage all phases of litigation, handle high-stakes cases, and contribute to strategy alongside a team of attorneys.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, has 5+ years in litigation, and is admitted in NJ and NY (PA a plus). You will excel in research, writing, negotiations, and leverage e-discovery tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in litigation.
• Admitted to practice law in NJ and NY; PA a plus.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven track record of representing clients in court.
• Experience with e-discovery and litigation support tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; high standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlements, and trial strategy.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and staying updated on laws.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies.
• Provide legal advice to clients and advise on implications of current laws.
• Develop relationships with clients and understand their needs and objectives.
• Participate in business development activities including client meetings and conferences.
