Jobot is seeking a Remote Litigation Associate with NJ/NY bar admission for a boutique firm. Compensation is based on experience, with a generous bonus structure and a 1900 billable target. The role offers remote work from NJ and NY locations and permanent employment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation experience, the ability to manage high caseloads, and strong research, writing, and negotiation skills. Collaborative team environment with opportunities for client development.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years' litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice law in NJ and NY; PA admission is a plus.
• Strong legal research and writing skills are essential.
• Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities; able to explain complex strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlements, and trial strategy.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and stay updated on laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies.
• Provide legal advice to clients and advise on implications of current and future laws.
• Develop relationships with clients and understand their needs and objectives.
• Participate in business development activities including client meetings, conferences, and seminars.
