Job summary

Hudson Manpower is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join its growing civil litigation practice in New York City. The role offers substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and direct courtroom exposure from day one.

You will work with senior litigators on diverse disputes, including commercial, contract, employment, real estate, landlord-tenant, and professional liability matters in state and federal courts.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• 1–3 years of post-bar litigation experience.
• Strong familiarity with FRCP, NY CPLR, FRE, and local court rules.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, affidavits, and other court submissions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis; manage discovery timelines.
• Prepare deposition materials; assist with hearings and trials.
• Handle electronic filings and maintain litigation calendars.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our growing civil litigation practice in New York City. This is a hands-on role offering substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and direct courtroom exposure from day one.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior litigators on a broad range of civil disputes, including commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment matters, real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, professional liability, and general civil controversies in both state and federal courts.

Key responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, affidavits, and other court submissions; conducting legal research and analysis; managing discovery; preparing deposition materials; assisting with hearings and trials; handling electronic filings; maintaining litigation calendars and deadlines; and communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

This role is ideal for an attorney seeking accelerated litigation experience, mentorship from experienced trial attorneys, and increasing autonomy in managing active matters.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Professional communication and client management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced litigation environment

Preferred qualifications include admission to the Southern and/or Eastern Districts of New York, experience in commercial or employment litigation, familiarity with e-discovery tools, and prior judicial internship or clerkship experience.
