Job summary
Intone Inc. seeks an experienced Systems Engineer with strong Linux and storage administration to drive a cloud migration and modernization project. The role is a 12-month contract, remote within the United States, responsible for managing Linux servers, enterprise storage, performance, DR, and ongoing operations.
You will collaborate with cloud architects, DBAs, and application teams, develop runbooks, and provide production support during deployment and stabilization phases.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Linux system administration experience.
- Expertise with Red Hat, Oracle Linux, CentOS or equivalent.
- Experience with SAN/NAS and enterprise storage provisioning.
- Strong Linux performance tuning, capacity planning and troubleshooting.
- Backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability implementations.
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python or similar).
- Experience supporting cloud migration and infrastructure modernization.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux server environments.
- Manage enterprise storage infrastructure including provisioning and backups.
- Support server migrations, deployments, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Monitor performance and implement optimization recommendations.
- Support high availability, DR and business continuity requirements.
- Perform system patching, upgrades, security hardening and compliance.
- Create technical documentation and runbooks.
- Provide production support during deployment and cutover.
