Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for a 12-month remote contract to support a federal government cloud migration and transformation initiative.

You will design, plan, and oversee cloud architecture activities across the full project lifecycle, from planning through production cutover and post-deployment support. Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud architecture experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
• Led cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Knowledge of cloud security, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Define cloud migration strategies, target-state architecture, security, networking, and infrastructure standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Provide architectural guidance during planning, implementation, testing, and deployment phases.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and production cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot architecture-related issues and develop best practices and documentation.
• Support the full project lifecycle including planning, iterative development phases, user acceptance testing, dry run exercises, disaster recovery build and test, production cutover, and hypercare support.
