Job summary

Businessolver is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to contribute to Linux system administration, AWS cloud work, and automation. The role includes system monitoring, performance tuning, and infrastructure provisioning to support a fast-growing technerve.

You will work on automation, security, and cloud-native tools within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AWS, Linux, and scripting; familiarity with Terraform, CDK, GitLab, and container orchestration.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience with AWS or an AWS Certification.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience.
  • Strong scripting skills – Python / Bash preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud Networking and Security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Experience with DNS and web server configurations.
  • Ability to use AI to quickly come up to speed on large complex codebases.
  • Knowledge of automating infrastructure builds using GitLab, Terraform and CDK.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration tools ECS or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of automated processes.
  • Ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
  • Research, develop, and implement automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Provide Tier II support for incidents and requests from various constituencies.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain and contribute to knowledge base and documentation.
  • Influence broader technology groups in adopting Cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Propose creative solutions to grow our business and delight clients.
  • May perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
